October 21, 2021 "You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'" ( Acts 20:35 NLT) Life is a cyclical journey, and we live our lives with a beginning and an end. There is a beginning and an end to our days, to our moments and in this instance our years.

THE ENEMY CANNOT STOP YOU FROM GIVING THANKS TO GOD. God is not asking us to thank Him for a bad situation. He is leading us to remember (in the midst of all circumstances, good and bad) to thank Him for the one thing that is rock solid and immoveable in our lives …. God Himself.
The giving of thanks is a biblical concept going all the way back to Noah and his family in the book of Genesis. As soon as the earth was dry after the flood, Noah and his family were finally able to leave the ark. Noah's first act was to build an altar and give thanks and worship to God.
As Warren Wiersbe reminds us in the NKJV Wiersbe Study Bible, "God's people are a family.". When we sit at our family dinner tables this year, let's remember to thank the Lord. Honor him by studying Scripture throughout the year. Commit to learning about him and Jesus and the Holy Spirit to whom we give our humble thanks.
As much as there is a power and blessing in giving thanks, there is also a power and blessing in receiving thanks. When we exercise the power of giving thanks, we minister to the needs of those who receive the thanks. This is a true win-win situation. Most people appreciate being appreciated. There is one type of temperament called a Supine.
